The Company

On April 22nd 1992, a group of investors acquired Bayer Industrial S.A., founded on 1969, a subsidiary of Bayer AG with German origins and technology, which started their activities in Peru on 1972.It was engaged in the production and marketing of dry spun acrylic fibers.

On July 20 1992 the company changes its social denomination to SUDAMERICANA DE FIBRAS S.A. (SdF).

EXPERIENCE

SUDAMERICANA DE FIBRAS S.A.  is the only industry engaged in the production and marketing of dry spun acrylic fibers in the American Continent, under the registered trade name DRYTEX®, with more than 30 years of experience in the production of the following fibers types: Tow, Tops and Staple fiber.

We supply more than 200 companies in the textile industry, on the market of Andean Community(CAN), MERCOSUR, Europe and Asia.

FACILITIES

SUDAMERICANA DE FIBRAS S.A. counts with a modern industrial plant in Lima-Peru, with a production capacity of 36,0000 tons/year.

The plant in Peru, with more than 300 workers, occupies an extension of 145,000 m2, and more than 20,000 m2 of warehouses. it is located near the seaport of Callao and 1.5 km far from the airport.

SUDAMERICANA DE FIBRAS S.A. on July 2006, became the first company in Peru that used natural gas from the Camisea field in it's modern energy plant, which cogenerates electricity in an efficient way and without polluting the environment. The 5.4 MW cogenerated power of combined cycle, supplies the Industrial plant with the necessary electricity, giving more stability and continuity to the processes, and guaranteeing an uninterrupted production of DRYTEX® Acrylic Fibers.

It also counts with a raw material unloading Terminal, which is pumped through a submarine pipe line directly from the ships to our storage tanks.

SUDAMERICANA DE FIBRAS S.A. implements a quality management system according to the Standard ISO 9001 - 2000 which guarantees the fulfillment of the standards of quality in each one of the processes of production of DRYTEX® Acrylic Fibers, designed following and improving the standards of the German technology. The management in the plant and in our laboratories is oriented to the continuous improvement of the processes, using the advances of the modern technology. This is proven in products of excellent quality that guarantees the preference of our clients granted to the DRYTEX® ACRYLIC FIBERS .
