Quality management systems
In SUDAMERICANA DE FIBRAS S.A. we manufacture DRYTEX® Acrylic Fibers using a
"Dry Spun" process that completely satisfies the requirements of our customers.
To ensure this, we have put into operation a Quality Management System that
meets the ISO 9001: 2000 Standard and which is implemented in all of the stages
of the manufacturing process.
Our system has been designed to prevent the occurrence of any manufacturing
defect in each and every stage of the production processes, and in doing so we
guarantee a finished product with excellent
processability properties, ready to be converted into a high quality finished
product.
All DRYTEX® acrylic fibers types be it; Tow, Staple, and Tops (Bumps) have
clearly defined quality specifications that guarantee our customers a uniform
product with the required physical properties.
The production processes in each one of our plants has been designed to meet
stringent procedures that have been proven and widely documented.
We only use high quality raw materials that meet with our
pre-established specifications.

Our Own Unloading terminal
The plant also has a marine raw material unloading terminal,
which allows supplies to be pumped through an underwater pipeline directly from
the tanker ships to the storage tanks, reducing unloading costs and
environmental contamination.

Ample storage capacity
We have storage tanks installed with a total
capacity of 10.000 cubic meters. This capacity allows the plant to always count
on sufficient raw material to cover its production requirements.
Our personnel are very experienced and are highly qualified. They have been
trained to operate machinery and equipment that uses the latest technological
advances.
Our internal communication and IT systems permit us to control
and manage all production technical data as well as handling our customer's
orders.
Quality Control Laboratories
Our Chemical and Textile laboratories are
equipped with testing machines that control with precision the physical and
chemical properties of our raw materials that we purchase, materials in process
and finished products, using the most up to date techniques.
Our laboratory facilities are also at the service of our
customers. We collaborated with them in the development of new products and on
a consultancy basis.
Continuous Improvement System
In each one of the 5 SdF production plants,
"continuous improvement" projects are carried out. These procedures permit us
to adapt DRYTEX® products to the changing requirements of the marketplace and
of our customers.
Our organizational culture favors the active and creative
participation of the employees in these "improvement projects" within a cordial
labor environment and of mutual respect.
