TOW TO TOP PRODUCTION PROCESS

Majorities Return >>

The data exposed in this pamphlet is orientative, since in the world-wide market there is great variety of machinery marks for the breakage of the cable (TOW) and his conversion to TOPS; to which we have to add the influence of the environmental conditions of the work rooms (humidity and temperature).

The properties of the DRYTEX® Acrylic Fibermainly recommend their use like alternative to the wool in the clothing field and the one of the textiles for the home. Between these properties it's possible to mention the high voluminosidad with warm tact similar to the one of the wool,It's excellent resilience, its low density and the being an antiallergic product.

The Structure of the DRYTEX® Acrylic Fiber allows that it can retain, in a room temperature, a latent or potential shrinking (memory) also Called METASTABLE State; which is obtain by previous regulations in the machines breakers (Seydel, Tematex, etc.) in order to obtain threads of high volume called "High Bulk" (HB).

It's convenient to indicate that the capacity or shrinking memory CAN BE LOST when an excessive enlargement is applied to too high temperatures. The most important repercussion in the industry consists of which irregularities of the molecular structure due to the VARIATIONS Of the enlargement and the TEMPERATURE, lead to differences in the speed of dye and the level of absorption of colorants.

Also regular threads N are obtained (timid or fixed) varying the conditions of work for, mainly, textiles of summer, tapestry, etc.

The following ones are general considerations for the DRYTEX® Acrylic Fiber.

A)The optimal atmospheric conditions to work the TOW are: of 20 to 22° C of temperature and 60 to 65% relative humidity atmosphere, constants.

B) The Type T-21 is for being worked in machines breakers of traction and heat as SEYDEL, TEMATEX, 3-TO, COGNETEX, SCHLUMBERGER, etc.

C) The material, before being transformed, have to prepared in the work place for at least 12 hours, since it can be much difference between the temperature of the warehouse and the work place. It is enough with taking of a cover to the bale.

D) The conversion of the TOW takes us to obtain TOPS of different characteristics according to the wished final article. The More frequently used are:

T-51 (100% fiber "N", fixed nonshrinkable),

T-52 (100 % fiber "S" not fixed or shrinkable).

T-53 (HB with shrinking of the spinning between 18 and 20%, to the result of a mixture of 60% of fibers "N" and 40% of fibers "S"),

T-54 (PARACAS, 60% fibers "S" and 40% fibers "N", with equal shrinking that the T-53 but with smaller volume, originated in the mixture of inverted proportions).

T-55 (CHAVIN,55% fibers "N" 6.7 dtex. and 45% fibers "S" 11,0 dtex.)

T-56 ("HB ESPECIAL",mixes of 70% fibers "N" and 30% fibers "S" for heavy titles, basically for carpets)

E)In spinnings HB, after the development of the shrinking and the dye bath, the resistance and the elongation diminish considerably because it is very important to control these values, modifying the assigned alfa torcion constant,if it's necessary.
